Ok, I have been trying to come up with a new logo and have gone through some of the old threads that had some logos in it. Here is my first attempt.

Basically I want to use this logo on advertising and merchandise. I would also like to have the logo in the banner. The logo must have "AOPL in it

If you have any ideas, please feel welcome to post it and tell me what you think of mine.

Also thinking of a moto for the site such as "AOPL - The Australian Poker Community" or something like that. I am not very good when it comes to these things.

It would look better if the fluro colours would flash like flouro lights - very vegas lol

l like it, I would have the aopl under the picture in a straight font maybe.

was looking for a good font, but actually did this free hand to give it a little character. Not completely happy with it especially the "A"

ok, updated the logo, looks I think I lot better than the first attempt

looks good. the only prob with ur motto i think is that we not just an aussie poker community as we have european players now. an aussie forum , yes, but the community has grown outside oz a lil.
AOPL.... poker shark hell, hard poker and even harder tells, nightly games compels, its the friendly community unit sells, tryed to do a motto but didnt quite work, kept writin my rhymes. ill try to think of one for u in next few days.

I preferred the other one as it was more arty, but this one looks ok too. I recon the aopl letters especially need to match the freehand look of the cards and chips like the previous one did. just my2c...

ummm the writting was freehand, maybe it needs to be fluro/neon too.

I really like the new logo.
I prefer the freehand letters.
Try putting AOPL between the broken line of the oval and maybe filling in the top of the oval or have the cards poke out the top a little.
Or leave it as you have it LOL

The reasons for the very few o'seas players has been well documented but you do raise a good point. I wanted to turn back the clock to Aussies only if we are regulary getting up to 50 players to the freerolls and 25+ to the buyins. Maybe we go back to Aussies only. Maybe that is detracting from the site a little. Maybe? Or maybe I just make the freerolls open to Aussies only, because lets face it, and if I am wrong, please correct me, I haven't seen an international play in a buyin, but could be wrong. Maybe one of the internationals can correct me.

Thanks for the feedback spot and the suggestion. Maybe I might take up that suggestion. I might have another play around with the current one before settling with one.
